Purewhite FW21 Post Apocalyptic Survivalist Collection
In this FW21 collection we fantasize about what we, as a collective, would wear in this unforeseeable future, after an apocalypse and what our world would look like. With great feelings of insecurity, we seek to shield ourselves with garments that look like protective armour; tactical utility styles are key. Chaotic graphic prints represent unsettling undertone of a daunting outlook.
To create a Post Apocalyptic environment I chose Zollverein an old German Cole Mine that’s an UNESCO World Heritage site as a backdrop to create a scenery that invokes a sense of desolation, destruction and deprecation.

Our street image would be that of decay and deterioration. This in garments would translate to worn look styles, with washes, dyes and torn effects. The futurism of this subject will be featured by color blocking and graphic lines throughout the collection. Another movement that will surely arise is cocooning; the search for protection, safety and warmth. In the collection this will evolve in voluminous knits and fabrics.
