Ballin Amsterdam FW22 Collection
In continuation of previous collections I wanted to combine talents with models and this time, the concept was courts of concrete. I found this Brutalist building in Fregene, Italy a few km away from Rome.
Built over a period of seven years in the 1960s and 1970s by a family of Italian architects, Giuseppe Perugini, his wife Uga de Plaisant and their son Raynaldo Perugini, Casa Sperimentale also known as La Casa Albero is an extraordinary built experiment, one that challenged the understanding of what architecture is and how it’s created. With novel construction techniques and an unorthodox design method, the family created an extraordinary elevated house – a concrete treehouse. Nowadays it’s being restored in its original form by Giuseppe’s son Raynaldo.
On this amazing location, I had the honor of shooting with Italian freestyle soccer player Nicola Barnabà, Red Bull All Style hip-hop dancer Tonini, UK model Joe Powell and Korean model Jina, and photographer Jose Da Silva.
